Global Software company is seeking an experienced International Tax Manager to join their busy and dynamic team. This role will be crucial in managing external advisors during Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) providing a clear tax oversight and engagement, focusing on everything from intellectual property (IP) mapping through to managing post-acquisition compliance issues, and addressing a broad range of international tax matters, including transfer pricing. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal advisory role, fostering strong relationships across internal teams—particularly the M&A team—and bridging the gap between business operations and external advisors. Key Responsibilities:

  • Advisory Role: Provide expert guidance on international tax matters, ensuring compliance with regulations and optimizing tax positions.

  • M&A Deals Tax Advisory: Work closely with the M&A team, both in an advisory capacity and as a key player in assessing and implementing the tax aspects of acquisitions, ensuring that all transactions are tax-efficient and compliant.

  • Transfer Pricing: Help develop and implement transfer pricing strategies that align with business objectives and comply with international regulations.

  • Internal Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships across various internal teams, including M&A, Finance, Treasury, Legal, and Operations, to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.

  • Strategic Analysis: Analyse complex tax issues and develop innovative solutions that align with the company's goals. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management.

  • Tax Planning and Compliance: Stay updated on changes in international tax laws and regulations. Ensure adherence to compliance requirements and manage the preparation and submission of necessary tax filings.

  • Risk Management: Identify potential tax risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the organisation's compliance with all relevant laws.

Qualifications:

  • Guide range is 4 – 6yrs+ experience in international tax, with a focus on M&A and transfer pricing.

  • Must have in-house tax experience

  • Strong understanding of tax principles, compliance, and regulations, with exposure to transactional tax matters and M&A deal advisory

  • Experience in International tax, including Transfer Pricing essential.  Having a broader tax background as well would be advantageous

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.

  • Demonstrated interest in business development activities and client presentations.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex tax issues effectively.

This is a hybrid role - 3 days in the London office each week.
