About the Role:

The successful candidate will possess broad expertise across all areas of taxation, with a particular focus on corporate tax, while maintaining a comprehensive understanding of personal tax, inheritance tax, trusts, and international tax issues. The role encompasses managing complex advisory projects, providing strategic tax planning, and delivering tailored solutions for a diverse client portfolio.

You will collaborate directly with the firm’s Tax Partner, gaining invaluable insights and mentorship. The position is office-based, emphasising close teamwork and direct engagement with colleagues and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a variety of sophisticated tax advisory projects, including corporate restructuring, property transactions, international tax planning, and employee incentivisation schemes.
• Prepare detailed advice letters, reports, and technical responses, taking ownership from inception through to delivery.
• Liaise with clients to understand their needs, manage expectations, and deliver exceptional service.
• Support the tax analysis of corporate transactions alongside the corporate finance team.
• Oversee the preparation of transaction documentation and respond to HMRC enquiries.
• Share expertise by training and mentoring junior team members.
• Contribute to the development and growth of the tax department through strategic initiatives and team management, including conducting interviews and performance reviews.

Candidate Profile:

• The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in accounting, with a strong technical background in all tax disciplines.
• A relevant professional qualification such as CTA is preferred, but candidates with equivalent experience and knowledge will also be considered.
• Experience gained within a top-tier or large regional practice is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills are essential, as the role involves frequent interaction with clients and colleagues, requiring clear and concise technical reporting
• A client focused approach and a commitment to delivering outstanding service are vital.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, along with a proactive attitude and strong organisational skills, will ensure success in this role.

Working arrangement:

On-site – 5 days in the office each week
