We are currently seeking a Tax Accountant to join our Finance team and support the Tax Manager in ensuring compliance with tax regulations, including tax returns, payments, and other requirements. Additionally, this role will involve ensuring accurate tax entries in the financial statements and monthly reports.
This position is based in our Slough office and offers a hybrid work arrangement (3 days a week), with a salary of up to £60,000, dependent on experience. You will also receive a 10% annual bonus, 25 days of annual leave plus 1 day for your birthday, and a comprehensive range of flexible benefits.
Role Responsibilities
  • Prepare draft annual corporation tax computations for review by the Tax Manager and submit them to HMRC within the specified deadline after review.
  • Draft quarterly VAT returns for review by the Tax Manager and submit them to HMRC within the specified deadline after review.
  • Provide support for various tax compliance matters, including PSA, TAS, and POAs for CT and VAT.
  • Assist with tax accounting tasks such as statutory accounts and month-end processes.
  • Contribute to ad-hoc projects and team activities as required.
Required Knowledge & Experience
  • Qualified Accountant or Tax Adviser.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft suite of products.
  • Prior experience in a Finance division would be advantageous.
  • Essential experience in tax, preferably with expertise in both corporation tax and VAT.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement.
