Head of Tax

The Consultancy Group are currently working with a highly reputable renewable energy company in London, seeking a Head of Tax to join their team. They are going through an exciting period of growth, committed to driving sustainable change through its innovative solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with tax laws and reporting requirements in the UK and internationally.
• Oversee tax returns and related documentation, including corporate tax, VAT, and other indirect taxes.
• Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company’s tax position.
• Provide guidance on efficient tax structuring for new projects and investments.
• Collaborate with external advisors and tax authorities.
• Manage tax risk and implement internal controls.
• Stay updated with changes in tax legislation and communicate potential impacts to senior management.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in tax compliance, tax structuring, and M&A.
• Strong knowledge of UK and international tax laws.
• Experience in the renewable energy industry is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Professional qualification (e.g., chartered accountant, tax advisor) is preferred.
